Special literary evening , readings, presentation, dance and music connected by words.

Presentation of emerging writers of Suriname.
november 28th at On Stage theater.
Reading by Iraida and Sakoentela from their manuscript and presentation of debut poetry Karin Nergens groeit een boom die haar aarde niet vindt. We had a wonderful evening of moving words accompanied by dance ( Lisa, Germaine and Natascha) and guitar (Jim Westfa). Next phase, next step. The words are out.

28th of November 2013: the launch and presentation of my poetry debut 'Nergens groeit een boom die haar aarde niet vindt', on stage theater, Suriname.

May 2012 Participation and member of the organization comittee: Literary event of the association of Caribbean Women Writers Suriname. 150 caribbean writers and scholars came together in Suriname to discuss the writings of Caribbean women writers and/or Caribbean women topics. 50 participants from abroad together with our local writers and scholars had four days of vibrant sessions; http://www.schrijversgroep77.org/ or www.acwws.org

November 2010 Participated with Wan tru puwema conference/festival. Dutch written literature by writers from Aruba, Curacao, Bonaire, South Africa, The Netherlands, Belgium and Suriname . Discussions, workshops, Schoolvisits, performences and special unplugged evenenig at Boxel participated and organized with Marieke Visser: A creative exchange with visual arts , drama, poetry , prose and music. www.tablemountainconnection.blogspot.com

March 2010 Participated with the conference of the Association of Caribbean Women Writers, Louisiana. Part of the Surinamese Panel together with Ismene Krishnadath and Hilde Neus. Theme of the paper presented on feelings of dislocation caribbean people.

March 2009 South African Heritage Festival, Capetown. Participated with a paper on the position of our local languages, an essay written together with Diana Ferrus, South African writer.

October 2008 First Literary presentation. Participated with the Writers in Exchange Festival Suriname- South Africa, Capetown. Surinamese and South Afrincan writers came together on South African grounds to share, communicate and present their work, visited the different schools and experienced the great land of the South African people.

Creative writing, a brief overview
