Diversity is Power

Diversity is power! Could be or could not. Depends on how you look at it. Seeing it as a lot of diverse people, being powerful because they are diverse is not the power of diversity. Diversity comes from the insight, when you feel the diversity in yourself it can indeed be powerful and challenges you to cross boarders. The power therefore lies not in the amount of diverse people but the quality of people to recognize diversity as a part of their life.
The writers in exchange festival will be held in South Africa october 2008 with the theme Diversity is power. Writers from Suriname, The Netherlands and South Africa will exchange their creative work with the public. The theme of the festival is Diversity is Power! As part of the Suriname group I will keep you posted on the development of ideas and writing, the creative flow...for the next months. For more information on the festival www.schrijversgroep77.com

The creative industry

The strength of creativity is that people reach out to another on the deepest level of communication in the most honest way and with the most wide range of areas to reach. It is the touch of soul to soul. Not carefully marketed and not treated as an industry our leaders still underestimate the strength of the message the creative industry brings in the growth and development of people and therefore communities, countries.. the world. It is a leading part in everything you undertake. It is connected with your soul and therefore not overshadowed by ego-actions.

Whenever you invest in people you invest in the future. No nature resources as gold or diamonds or bauxiet will last long enough, and it is proven that even though countries have enough of this, it is not the clue for a better life for the people. The creative industry is not some thing of some people but it deserves a leading role in decisionmaking, in future, in life. Whenever we see children develop it is there creativity that make them do things, to undertake, to explore, to try out, to grow.
